Today marks the 75th anniversary of the end of World War II. For the whole world, the eighth of May 45 marked the end of a 6-year nightmare. For Poland, the end of the war did not mean sovereignty, because German totalitarianism was replaced by the Soviet one. Poles fought for freedom for the next almost five decades.
